We checked every line of this aarti against these sources before publishing it (checked on 16 Sept 2026). The meanings are written by us.

Which version we use

Verifier (2026-09-16) compared eleven witnesses. Print: the Gita Press Aarti Sangrah (GP, read from the page images), Randhir Prakashan's 51 Chalisa Sangrah (RC), two further printed copies in an Aarti Chalisa Sangrah scan (AC1, a typeset page; AC2, a second press) and the Pehowa temple booklet (PE). Web: BhaktiBharat (BB), Drik Panchang (DP) with Reviving Cultures (RV), which usually follows it, Webdunia (WD) with Sanskrit Documents (SD) and Voice of Hinduism (VOH). Every half-line matches at least one witness verbatim (ignoring punctuation and spacing). Extra verses (decision): GP, RC, AC1 and AC2 have exactly the seven verses given here, and BB prints the same seven with the Lakshmi verse as a marked addition. The web texts add different verses in different places: 'काशी में विश्वनाथ विराजत नन्दी ब्रह्मचारी' (WD, SD; VOH before the Lakshmi verse; DP and RV 'काशी में विराजे विश्वनाथ, नन्दी ब्रह्मचारी' as the last added verse); 'लक्ष्मी व सावित्री, पार्वती संगा / पार्वती अर्द्धांगी, शिवलहरी गंगा' (DP, RV, VOH; BB as an addition; PE 'लक्ष्मी और सावित्री पार्वती संगे'); 'पर्वत सोहैं पार्वती, शंकर कैलासा' and 'जटा में गंगा बहत है, गल मुण्डन माला' (DP, RV, VOH). Of the five printed witnesses only PE has any of them. Because the Gita Press text and four of five printed copies have seven verses, and no two witnesses that add the Kashi and Lakshmi verses agree on which verses to add or where, they are not added: adding just those two would give an order no witness has. Changed by the verifier: V2 line 2 'त्रिगुण रूप निरखते' (BB, DP, RV, WD 'त्रिगुण रूपनिरखता') -> 'तीनों रूप निरखते त्रिभुवन जन मोहे' (AC1 verbatim; GP 'त्रिभुवन-जन मोहै'; RC 'मन मोहे'; SD, VOH, AC2, PE 'तीनों रूप निरखता'): seven witnesses, including all printed ones, against four, and the verse is about the three forms side by side. (VOH): no printed reading is shared, and this is the form of the three largest web families. साजै', BB and DP 'गरूड़ासन') vs 'हंसानन' (WD, SD, VOH, AC2). V3 line 1 'मुण्डमाला' (BB, DP, RV, VOH, RC, AC1, PE) vs 'रुण्डमाला' (GP, WD, SD, AC2). V4 'गरुणादिक' (BB, DP, WD, RV, VOH) vs 'गरुडादिक' (GP, SD) and 'ब्रह्मादिक' (RC, AC1, AC2). V5 line 2 'सुखकारी दुखहारी जगपालन कारी' (GP, BB, DP, RV, RC) vs 'जगकर्ता जगभर्ता जग पालनकर्ता' and similar (WD, SD, VOH, AC1, AC2, PE).
