Why Griha Pravesh Matters
A new home is one of life's biggest milestones, and tradition holds that a home should be spiritually cleansed and blessed before the family moves in. Griha Pravesh is the ceremony performed to bless the home, and families pray in it for peace, health and harmony in the household. Performed at a chosen muhurat, it is seen as an auspicious start — many families consider it essential before settling into a new house.
The Pooja and How to Book It
A Griha Pravesh typically includes a Ganesh pooja, Navgrah pooja, kalash sthapana and often a Satyanarayan Katha, performed at the new home itself with a family priest. Families choose the date from a panchang or with their priest. An honest note: Archana does not send priests to homes, and Satyanarayan Katha is not bookable at the moment. If you want a pooja at a temple in your family's name for the move, you can book a Ganesh Pooja (Ganesh Atharvashirsha path and havan) or a Nav Grah Shanti at a verified Delhi temple, with photo and video proof.
